October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Here is a link for lots of information and events: http://nbcam.org/ I encourage all women to do monthly breast exams and to get their mammograms as scheduled, especially those with a personal or family history. My mother is a breast cancer survivor, cancer-free for 7 years now.I know fall has been with us for a couple weeks now, but for me it just doesn't feel like fall until October gets here. It is time for pumpkins and gourds, scarecrows, mums, hay stacks, sunflowers, and apple cider. And sweaters! I have already had to use a sweater in the early morning. I love October, it is my month, and coincidentally, the month of my birth.
I have been working more on my gourmet mustard recipes. I have one just about perfect, I think. I won't really know for some days while it ages. I haven't as yet named it, but I will come up with something catchy. I like to make things from my kitchen for Christmas gift baskets. It is a little early yet to be thinking about that, though.
I wish you all a Happy October!
